Applications are open for the World IP Day Youth Video Competition 2026. Celebrate the power of sports and intellectual property (IP) with the World IP Day Youth Video Competition. They invite individuals and groups to create and submit a 60 to 90-second video showcasing how IP rights fuel innovation and creativity in the sports world.
Under the theme “Game Changers: IP Powering Sports Innovation”, participants are encouraged to explore the connection between sports and IP. How do IP rights empower creators, inventors, and entrepreneurs in the sports industry? In what ways is innovation transforming the future of sports? Prizes
Exciting prizes await you in the World IP Day Youth Video Competition!
- First Prize: Digital equipment to the maximum value of CHF 3,000
- Second Prize: Digital equipment to the maximum value of CHF 2,000
- Third Prize: Digital equipment to the maximum value of CHF 1,000
- The People’s Choice Prize: Digital equipment valued at up to CHF 500
- Top 20 entries: The top 20 winning entries will benefit from training opportunities offered by the WIPO Academy.
Eligibility
- You can enter the competition alone or team up with friends for a group entry (up to 10 participants), but not both. Each person or group gets just one entry.
- You, or at least one person in your group, need to be between 18 and 35 years old when you submit your application.

- Submit your video entry by March 15, 2026, 23:59 CET
- Cast your vote for the People’s Choice Prize from April 6-19, 2026
- Winners will be announced on April 24, 2026
