Applications are open for the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF)-Wall Policy Fellowship 2026. The AWF-Wall Policy Fellowship aims to train young professionals like yourself in International Environmental Governance, particularly on the Convention on Biological Diversity.

The 9 months program is offered by the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). They look forward to learning about you, your passion for environmental governance and your leadership footprints.

Eligibility

  • You demonstrate a clear interest and passion for a career in policy issues on international environmental governance like biodiversity and related matters.
  • Nationals of any of the African countries and currently living and working within Africa.
  • Age: 20-35 years.
  • Work experience in environmental sciences, social sciences, agricultural sciences, indigenous knowledge systems, resource mobilization, international relations, gender studies, biotechnology or any other sector that is relevant in the various Multilateral Environmental Agreements.
  • If you are francophone, you must have basic English writing and speaking skills. Only applications submitted in English will be considered.
